Graphic Designer

Location: Dublin West
Compensation: Salary comparable to experience.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Diesel Ireland for a Graphic designer to join the design team. The preferred candidate will have at least two year’s experience working in a graphic design role and should have a keen interest in commercial fashion design. The role will involve working closely with the design team across multi product areas including branded clothing graphics labelling packaging and marketing. The ideal candidate should be confident to work independently in a fast-paced environment and take responsibility for the graphics area.

Duties include

• Designing graphics for T-shirts and Diesel branded clothing across the menswear and womenswear departments, under the direction of the design team.• Working closely with the design team to ensure that all artworkproduced is“Brandappropriate”.

• Assisting the website and marketing department with in-store and online graphics.

• Working on photoshoots, both at home and abroad.

• The ideal candidate must be highly organized with good communication and presentation skills.

• Assisting the website department with management of website and social media.

• Assist where required in accomplishing the Brand’s goals and enjoying being part of a team.

Requirements:

 • An honors degree in Graphic design.

• A minimum of two year’s experience in a graphic design role.

• A keen interest in fashion.

• A commercial awareness and strong attention to detail.

• Strong Adobe Creative Suite experience.

• Strong typography and layout skills.

• Excellent communication skills.

Fashion Designer

Location: Dublin West
Compensation: Salary comparable to experience.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Diesel for a creative fashion designer to work in our fast-paced studio in Dublin. The company currently has sixteen retail shops throughout the Republic of Ireland including a website business www.diesel.ie. Previous experience working in a fashion design role for a commercial brand is preferable. The ideal candidate should be confident to work independently in a fast-paced environment and take responsibility for the product area.

Duties include

 • Designing branded ranges, as part of a design team.

• Developing graphics, logos and fashion prints for the ranges.

• Translating the visual language of Diesel into distinctive garment designs to maximize sales.

• Developing and researching trends.

• Creating coordinated ranges from initial concept to final product. 

• Ensuring efficient handover of graphic artworks and garment specifications to our factories and suppliers. Submitting all relevant information needed for the development process such as tech packs, original artworks, color indication, print instructions and artwork size.

• Producing technical drawings, specifications sheets, CAD booklets.

• Working closely with in the house graphic designer, merchandisers and buyers.

• The ideal candidate must be highly organized with excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Be first point of contact for our suppliers in all issues regarding your designs.

• Manage an efficient process and communication flow between design team, buyers, retail and marketing departments.

• Own the creative process to make sure that the final designs meet commercial and brand objectives.

Requirements:

• An honors degree in fashion design.

• At least two years’ experience in a similar design role.

• Applicants should be computer literate and be fully proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop software.

• High Level of creativity.

• Have exceptional ability to work on their own initiative.

Store Manager

Location: Galway
Compensation: €36,000-€39,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Retail Store Manager based in our store in Galway Store. This position is a 1 year Fixed contract to cover maternity leave.

As the Store Manager you are responsible for the day to day operation of the store, including sales, team, stock management, visual merchandising and overall working with your team to provide a friendly and engaging customer experience.

Your role as Store Manager:

  • To drive sales through stock management and customer service; ensuring targets and KPI's are achieved weekly.
  • To motivate, lead and empower your team to increase sales and provide great customer service.
  • To implement and maintain commercial and visual merchandising standards throughout the store using the business tools provided.
  • Set out team objectives to achieve store KPI’s.
  • To lead by example and provide excellent customer service and act as a great role model for the team.
  • To maintain commercial and visual merchandising standards throughout the store using the tools provided.
  • Carry out relevant admin work to include wages, health and safety, customer complaints etc.…
  • To communicate with and report directly to your Area Manager

The Ideal Candidate

  • Minimum of 2 years Management experience ideally in the retail sector.
  • A passion for retail and profitability.
  • Must lead and implement a high level of Customer Service in your store.
  • You evaluate your team’s performance and provide regular feedback and support succession through their development and training.
  • The ability to motivate and lead a team to achieve business KPI’s.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexible, reliable and ability to multitask and re-prioritise when required.
  • Ability to work in a face paced environment and adapt quickly to changes.
  • You ensure Health & Safety procedures, and security are in accordance with business standards to secure all employee and customers safety.

Assistant Manager

Location: Diesel Galway

Your role as Assistant Manager:

  • To assist the store manager in all areas of running the store
  • To drive sales ensuring targets and KPI's are achieved
  • To motivate, lead and empower your team
  • Carry out the manager's duties when manager is absent.
  • To maintain standards within the store and ensure stock is presented in the best possible manner
  • To provide excellent customer service and act as a great role model for staff

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years fashion management experience
  • Proven leadership and sales skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • You must be a real team player with drive and energy to exceed targets
